As a child, however, sometimes owning a bike is not an option. For that child, going on an adventure through mountain biking may only be a dream. That’s where Trips for Kids comes in to set the stage.

What’s Unique about Trips for Kids?
Trips for Kids teaches kids the value of a life well-lived by incorporating lifelong skills such as:

• Self-confidence
• How to experience joy
• How to be mindful of the environment
• The art of achievement

 Trips for Kids doesn’t only contribute to these children, it teaches them how to be a contribution to the community, as well.
Rides – Trips for Kids offers a Rides Program wherein hundreds of kids are able to take part in a bike ride where they can enjoy the fresh air and a sense of what it feels like to be part of a community. Teamwork, camaraderie and mentorship are what’s possible through these rides.
Earn-a-bike – Earn-a-bike is an ingenious way to provide an opportunity for youth to learn the ropes of bicycle mechanics combining the needs of these youth with those in need of a working bicycle. On-the-job training provides these youth with a sense of belonging, with the opportunity to learn a skill and a feeling of accomplishment all at the same time. Once this training is complete, kids can earn credits toward a bike. Some of these youth have even gone on to become leaders in the earn-a-bike program.
Green Cyclers – As if Trips for Kids didn’t have it all covered, they also are mindful of the environment, as well. Conversation, games and workshops on the subject of environmental awareness are all incorporated into the programs, as well.
How You Can Contribute
There are several ways to be a contribution:

• Create your own chapter
• Join an already existing chapter
• Provide bicycles or equipment
• Offer a financial contribution
